CLEARING HOUSE SHRINKAGE. REDUCED RAILWAY RECEIPTS. United Press Association. Copyright (Received Jan. 17, 4.45 p.m.) LONDON, Jan. 17. The “Times” states that the business of the London bankers’ clearing house showed a shrinkage of £610,000,000,, compared with 1907. All the provincial clearing houses showed a proportionate reduction. Railway receipts also showed a heavy reduction.
