WRECK OF A SCOW.

THE ZINGARA SUNK AT PAHU. [Press Association.] THAMES, Jan. 16. The auxiliary scow Zingara, loaded with 170 logs, struck the rocks at Palm, inside Tairua bar, while attempting to get out at noon yesterday. As the tide was full she slipped off the rocks and sank in mid-channel. The crew are reported to be all safe. [The Zingara, which was well known in Gisborne, was a vesse-l of 184 tons register. She was commanded by Captain Jensen, and was only recently fitted with an auxiliary oil engine.]
