The usual weekly meeting of the Poverty Bay Cricket Association was held in the British Empire Hotel last evening, Mr. H. E. Maude presiding.
It was resolved that all practice must cease on the turf wicket and, for the protection of /same, that all players -must wear recognised cricketing boots or shoes, and that any player offending shall be liable to such penalty as tbo Management Committee may think fit to impose. Mr. J. Monk was unanimously elected as one of the Ground Committee in place of Mr. Cary, resigned. It was resolved that -a letter be written to -Mr. Cary, expressing regret at his departure, thanking him for liis past services, and*wishing him and -Mrs. Cary every success in the future.
The team to represent Te .Ran against Union on the turf wicket- tomorrow will be selected from the following: —Hogan, Scholium, Minn is, McLeod, Wi Repa, Dudfield, Mill. Featon, Rose, Wack (3), Sim, Monk, and Tomlinson.
