The U.S.S. Co.’s Talune arrived from south yesterday morning and sailed again later for Auckland. • The U.S.S. Co.’s Alanuka arrived from Auckland at noon yesterday. Leaving the northern port at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, she had a fine trip, accomplishing the distance in the remarkably fine time of 19 hours. She (left again for south before midnight, taking the members of the Williamson Company.
•Alessrs Richardson and Co.’s Fanny arrived from south yesterday morning and returned again before noon. Her cargo for this port included 185 rams, consigned to Dalgety and Co., and her outward cargo consisted of 90 hales of wool and 110 sacks of maize. Messrs Richardson and Co.’s Weka’ arrived from Napier early yesterday morning and brought a cargo of ‘live stock, including 175 rams for Dalgety and Co. and a Hereford bull for Air. A. H. Wallis. The' A Veka left again for Napier immediately on discharge. The barquentine Senorita sailed for Newcastle- yesterday morning. The schooner Awanui left for .Auckland yesterday afternoon, taking 300 sacks of maize for that port. Her back loading will probably he for coast ports, and she loads 82 hales of wool at Te Araroa on the return journey to Gisborne. . The 1J.6.5. Co.’s Squall arrived yesterday afternoon frqm Tologa Bay and Auckland. • The .auxiliary schooner Kaco- has arrived at Auckland from coast ports and Gisborne. In a special ..message to the “Times” Captain Skinner reports as follows on the trip : —Sailed from Gisborne Thursday, 7th, arriving Tologa Bay same night ;Bth, landed Tologa. Tuara, Toko mam, and arrived at 'AVaipiro; 9th, landed AVaipiro,* Whareponga, Tuparoa, and Reporiva- and Port Awanui, leaving the same evening for Te Araroa; 10th, landed Te Araroa, Patildrua, and R.aukokore; 11th, landed Crete Point, Te Kaha, .Maraenui, and anchored off Op-otiki same night; I.2th. landed Opotiki and Opape; 13th. 14th. lotth, sheltered from westerly winds at Awanui: 16th, shipped Te Kaha and two other places, sailing for Auckland on I.7th, with full cargo and-four passengers. Had a strong head wind across the Bay of Plenty, arriving .at Auckland at noon on Wednesday. • ■ -
