WOOL. United Press Association. CoptrighLONDON, January 19. -The wool sales opened strong, merinos selling at fully December rates and crossbreds at 5 to 10 per cent advance.

(Received January 20, 10.35 p.m.) LONDON, Jan. 20. The brokers’ joint catalogue included 10,2222 bales, an excellent selection. There was a large attendance from all parts. Merinos were very firm, occasionally in sellers’ favor. Shabby crossbreds were 5 percent. above 'December rates. Choice sorts suitable for America were 7' to 10 per cent, above those rates. The American support was strong, but weak,on merinos.
