United Press Association,- Copyright (Received Jan. 24,. 4.30 p.m.) BERNE, Jan. 23, An avalanche in the Furlca Pass in the Alps overwhelmed Major Bayley, of the Royal Artillery, Lieutenant Borkerlev Hill, of the Second Middlesex Regiment, Major Merian, of the Swiss Cavalry, and Bicure, a guide. Only Major Bayley survives, lie was 50 yards higher than his companions.
