A SUCCESSFUL GATHERING
The tenth animal show of the Wairon County A. and P. Association w;r. iield at. '.Erased town in magnificent weather. In this respect, as •well as in the matter of attendance, it ivas \ great improvement on last s’ear, Ihe entries in most of the light
classes ~otf horses were numerous, but .omewhat uneven. The draughts were not so good as in former years, but light hacks made up for any deficiencies. Air It. E. Jefferson■ won the championship' for draughts and .\[r Taylor won in the hack class with Ohum. In thC hunters’ competition the judge remarked that Air Taylor’s ..hum, Air. Parker's Melba,, and Air. J. Smith’s Hiuirahgi were fit for any show-ground iij, New Zealand. The sheep classes were good, and dogs were (fairly represented, Air F. Alorough haired collie being n fine v-peeimon of his type. Air F. McKay's bcardie collie was" also a fine stamp. Appended are the results:
