GISBORNE RACING CLUB
SUMMER MEETING
The summer meeting of the Gisborne Racing Club -commences to-day at the Park Racecourse. Good acceptances have been received for the majority of the events, and as extensive improvements'- have been effected to the course and buildings, nothing is wanted but fine weather to ensure a. successful meeting. A special train service has been arranged and in addition to the early train at 7 a.m. there will be trains leaving Gisborne at 12.10 p.m. and 1 p.m. Tlio return train leaves for town at 5.40 p.m. Passengers,leaving town by the 12.10 p.m. train will be in time for the first race, which starts at 12.45 p.m. The catering will be in the hands of Mr. J. Erskine and tho Federal Band will contribute a programme of music throughout tho day. TAKAPUNA RACES. [Press Association.] AUCKLAND, Feb. 3. The concluding day’s iracing in connection with tho Takapuna Jockey Chib’s summer meeting took place this afternoon. The weather was fine and the attendance up to the average. The results of the racing were as follows:
