Lord Crewe has instructed Sir Charles Lucas, head of the Dominions Department, to pay a prolonged visit to Australia and New Zealand. Mr. A. A. Pearson, formerly of the Colonial Office, accompanies him. They are to sail on February 26th. The “Times” says that the visit is doubtless in response, to Mr. Deakm’s suggestion on the last day of the Imperial Conference. Sir Charles Lucas’® qhict judgment and kindly tact will assure him of a ready welcome. The paper recalled Lord Northcotc’s advice at his banquet..
