DISCOVERY OF WRECKAGE.

SUPPOSED TO BE FROM THE RIO LOGE. [Press Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, Feb. 10. Captain Hunter, of the s.s. Maori, roports having sighted on Tuesday, a sailor’s wooden chest on which were the initials J.R.C., and also a packing case. It is thought that theso were flotsam and jetsam, but they may be from the brigantine Rio Logo, now several weeks overdue from Kaipara to Dunedin. Captain Allsop, of the steamer Ripple, which arrived on Tuesday from the Chathams, also reports having seen a quantity of sawu timber whilst on the way to the Chathams last Wednesday. He also reported that two hatches were washed ashore at the Chathams.
