WAIBOA, Feb. 11.. At the Court yesterday, before Mr. W. A. Barton, S.M., two half-castes were charged with supplying liquor M a Christmas feast at Whakaki to male and female’ Natives. Fourteen persons consumed eleven bottles ol wlusky, and all were drunk. The defence was that the liquor was drunk at the place .of supply, and as it was not taken away from the feast, there was no case for supplying hquor to be consumed off the promises. Tho Court ruled that tho place of supply /was Dalgety’s licensed wholesale premises, and accused caused it to be consumed at the feast. The films and costs inflicted amounted tq Loo.
