At the Bakers’ Conference during a discussion on technical education, it was stated that there would be a Bakers’ Department in the now college at Auckland, and that there was a probability of the Wellington Technical College making similar provision. Satisfaction was expressed with this outlook, as the practical training of boys in the bakery trade is a matter of some difficulty, owing to the early hours which the operatives liavo to observe. Dr. Mason attends the .sitting of the conference to-morrow.
