SIGNIFICANCE OF ELECTION. A NEW NAMEr—THE REFORM PARTY. [Press Association.] WELLINGTON. Feb. 11. ' Mr. Massey, dn -speaking: at a banquet to Mr. Buick, at Palmerston North, last night, stated that it was very significant that the voting at the recent general election showed increased majorities, for the Opposition last election. It demonstrated clearly that the people .were determined to have reform on sound lines. In many directions during the long term of the present- administration many evils had grown up in connection with the government of the country. It would be the duty of the Opposition to do its best- to remove these evils. •The party now in opposition,” he •dd, “is the. Reform Party. That is the name hv which it will be known in the future.” -
