WiAERENGA-O-KTJBI
(From Our Correspondent.)
Very welcome rain started here about 6 ip.m. on Friday, -and continued throughout the night and on Saturday. It was greatly needed, though the season, on the whole, has not been by any means a. bad one, "as is shown by the fact that large numbers of fat sheep have been sent from the district this season to the freezing works at Gisborne. v Good progress is being, made with some much-needed additions to the Waereiiga-o-kuri Hotel . The .roof has been put on, and it is expected that the new portion of the building will be ready for occupation in two or three weeks' time. The additions will comprise live bedrooms, two sittingrooms, a bathroom, and an apartment intended for use as bar. There will also be a store and a storeroom. The increased accommodation to be provided should be greatly appreciated by patrons of the house.
