Aislabie, Mr. W. G. Nightingale, Napier, on Thursday, 18th March. 1909. HACK DEFINITION.—No horse eligible to start in a hack race that has Avon a race of the value of 20 soa t s at time of starting. No horse shall be alloAved to start unless all nomination fees haA-e been paid. PERMlTS.—Permits Avill be issued to approved Bookmakers at £5 5s each. Permits must be obtained from the Secretary before 11.30 a.m. on the day of races. Bookmakers plying their occupation without permission Avill be removed and prosecuted. MINIMUM WElGHT.—Minimum Aveight in all events excepting Maiden Scurrv and Ladies’ Bracelet. 9st. PROTESTS. Protests, if any, must be made in writing and handed' to the Secretary Avithin 15 minutes after the first horso passes the post. A deposit of £2 must accompany each protest, such deposit to be forfeited if the protest be hot sustained. No entry Avill be received for any race except on the condition that all disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall bo decided by a majority of the stewards. ENTRlES.—Entries wall only be received o,n the condition that a decision of the majority of the steAvards shall be final on any point arising out of the definition of district boundaries.
