“EAST LYNNE.” •His Alajesty’s Theatre was comfortably iilied last night on the occasion of the final periormance in Gisborne oi Anderson’s Dramatic Company. The piece chosen was the overpopular “East Lynne,” and a new American version of the story was presented. The plot is too well known lo need any description, and the artists took iull advantage or the many opportunities afforded by the drama, liio performance was easily the best given by tiie company in Gisborne, and the audience were not slow to give evidence of their appreciation by Hearty applause. Aliss Florence Richter was most successful in the role or Lady Isabel, while Air. Crosbie Y ard was distineu v good as Archibald Carivie. The ba Francis Levison of Mr. Herbert Linden was a careful study, aim M~s Lillie Bryer as Aliss Cornelia created much amusement. Ihe minor rotes were abiy sustained, and the final tableau was greeted w ith loud aonlause. The members of the company leave for south to-night.

West, and will be not only interesting, instructional and amusing but entirely new to this town. They will include the recent naval manoeuvres of the Italian navy, a series from life showing Burns and Johnson in training and the different methods employed by each to attain physical perfection; scenes of travel in the Egyptian Soudan; views of Naples: a motor ride through the Riviera and rail journey from Victoria to Brighton. An orchestra of 12 performers will provide overtures and incidental selections. Ibe box plan opens at Miller s to-morrow morning.
