AM ACT!) ■ J ISSIXG. (Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Fob. 16. He had had several differences of opinion with the management, and liisyconnection with the company finally concluded on Wednesday. On Thursday morning iie was given a return ticket to Sydney, and told finally that his services were no longer needed. He was last seen at the hotel where he had -been residing between 4 and -5 o’clock on Thursday afternoon. It lias been ascertained that he did not leave for Wellington on Thursday night. Telegraphed inquiries elicited the fact that he has not boon seen in AYellington. He did not presumably leave for Sydney. His belongings are still at the hotel unpacked. He did not return to the hotel on Thursday night, nor lias he been seen since. It is understood that he sent an urgent letter to Sydney on Thursday, which was double stamped in order to be sure of not missing the mail.
