-AN AUSPICIOUS OPENING. [Press Association.] MASTER TON, Feb. 16. The Master to n show opened to-day in fine weather. There was f an excellent exhibit of stock, all the principal breeders in the North Isfand, and Mr. Seth Smith, a prominent breeder from Canterbury, showing in c;ttie . and sheep. The championtups were won as under: —Ayrshire c; v, W. Abbott; Jersey bull, J. S. T. Short; Jersey heifer, W. H. and A. E. Booth; reserved championship, S. R. Lancaster; Lincoln ewe, W. Perry; Lincoln ram, W. Perry thoroughbred, C. McCullough; Berkshire boar, Slack Bros.; Berkshire sow, Slack Bros.; Hereford bull, G: F. Moore; Hereford cow, J. McGregor; Romney rams, E. Short ;Romiiey ewe, E. Short; Shropshire ram, P, Cooper; Shropshire ewe, W. Rayner; Southdown 'lam, Nelson Bros.; Southdown ewe, Nekon Bros.; Border Leicester ram, G. Servers; Border Leicester two.
