SOUTHERN PLAYERS NORTHERN TOUR ABANDONED. [Press Association.J DUNEDIN, Fob. 16. At a. special meeting of the Council of the N.Z. Bowling Association to : night, it was decided that a sufficient number of players had not been nominated for the proposed North Island tour. While reluctant to disappoint those who had sent in their names, the Council did not think it would be warranted in proceeding further with the matter this season, but it trusted that tlie proposal would be kept in view for next season.
