THE ACAPULCO THEATRE FIRE.
CINEMATOGRAH FILM iGNITES. A FEARFUL PANIC. United Press Association, Copyright MEXICO, Feb. 16. Some details of the fire at Acapulco are to hand, and show that it occurred during a gala performance that was being given in honor of the Government. and which was taking place in a wooden structure. The outbreak was caused by a cinematograph film catching lire. The audience numbered a thousand, and included the oldest and wealthiest families in tlie district. The building provided for only three exits. When the outbreak occurred a terrible panic ensued. Many victims were incinerated, including a number of Germans. [Acapulco is a Mexican port on the Pacific, about 230 miles south-west ol the capital, with a population of about 7000 people.]
