INCREASING COST. THIRTY-TWO MILLIONS NEXT YEAR, United Press Association, Copyright. (Received Feb. 18, 10.50 p.m.) WASHINGTON, Feb. 18. A Senate committee at Washington urged President Roosevelt in the oxoi ciso of his discretion to keep onehalf of the navy in the Pacific. Senator Hall, speaking in the Senate, remarked that the United States navy cost 271 millions sterling in'l9o9. It would cost 32 millions next year, and probably 40 millions in 1911. [ r lhe British naval estimates for the current year are £33,942,008.]
