AN EXTRAORDINARY CRIME.
REMARKABLE RE VIOLATIONS. United Press Association. Copyright (Received Feb. 23, 12.55 a.m.) LONDON, Feb. 22. Reuter’s Santiago correspondent reports that investigation into Chancellor Becker t’s case have led to.extraordinary revelations. The Public Prosecutor came to the conclusion thatJßeckort invited Herr Bodman to the Chancellory .to sign documents. The fact that Herr Wclbeclc accompanied Herr Bodman saved the hitter’s life. It is alleged that Beckert intended to shoot Herr Bodman and leave the revolver beside the body, suggesting suicide, owing to a defalcation of £ISOO. It is also alleged that with a view of compelling the conclusion that the porter’s body was his own, Beckert extracted two teeth from the mouth of the corpse.
