Copyright (Received Feb. 25, 10.35 p.m.). v PARIS, Feb. 25. ■ " French Customs Committee declares that 87 per cent, of the value of British exports to France would not be affected by the projected revision of the tariff, except where duties are lowered, while the average surcharge on British trade will he scarce. ]y one-lialf per centum. LONDON, Feb. 25. lu the House of Commons' Mr. Churchill informed Sir W. J. v Collins that observations had been" invited from the principal Chambers of Commerce and Trade Associations in the United Kingdom concerning the probable effect of the. revised French tariff- He added that it was undesirable at present to make a statement regarding any further action which might be found expedient or practicable, but the matter was receiving the most earnest attention of the Goveminent.
