WESTPORT MURDER CASE.
CHANGE OF VENUE TO CHRISTCHURCH.

_CHRISTCHURCH, Feb. 25
In Chambers at the Supreme Court this morning, before Air. Justice.Denniston, Air. J. A. Cassidy, on behalf of W. AI. Connolly, charged with the murder of Ernest John Burke, at Westport, -and committed for trial at Hokitika, applied that the place of trial he changed to Christchurch. Air. Stringer, K.C., appeared for the Crown, and raised no objection, and His Honor made an order changing the place of trial to Christchurch at the criminaf'sessions opening on Alay 10th.
