GISBORNE CLUB
There was a fairly good attendance of 'members' of tho Gisborne Bowling Club at their green, on Saturday aitorn’oon, and some interesting play evontuated. The . following was result of the most notable games: T. Clark.son and Dodds 17, beat Boulton iand W. Pettie 15. This gamo was very evenly contested, the scores being 15 all on the 20tli head. Redstone, Wootton, and Munro (skip) 20, beat Benzie, Paltridge, and Bright (skip) 16. : TURANGANUI CLUB. Tho following have been left in the handicap pairs of the Turanganui Bowling Club, and will play in the semifinal: —Sawyer aud Somervell, J. J. Martin and Douglas, Ratcliff’e and McPherson. • • Mr. C. • Morse, a member of the club, lias generously offered a prize for a points game among the club members, and the contest is to take place on Thursday next. AUCKLAND BOWLING ASSOCIATION. [Press Association.] ' AUCKLAND, Feb. 28. Tho Auckland Provincial* Bowling Association-presented Mr. A. M. Myers (Mayor of Auckland and president of the Association for the past foul' years) with a- pair of gold-mount, ed bowls, enclosed in a handsome case of New Zealand woods, yesterday afternoon, as a token of the esteem in which he is held. An illuminated address accompanied the presentation. Mr. Myers leaves for an extended tour to England to-morrow.
