RIFLE-SHOOTING.
THE TRENTHAM MEETING. [Press Association.] TRENTHAM, March 3. Tho Weather promises fine for the opening of the Trentham meeting. Forty-five officers, 300 non-commis-sioned. officers and men, and 181 rifle club members are in camp. Two hundred touts have been erected for the competitors,, besides nine marquees. This is in addition to the accommodation occupied by the members of the Permanent Artillery, who are acting as markers, etc. The camp arrangements this year arc excellent, and competitors have shown their appreciation of this fact by nearly all Doing accommodated under canvas, instead of numbers being located in farm-houses, as in former years. It is probable that next meeting will see every competitor remaining permanently in camp of his own free w'li. TheViflo clubs’ and volunteers’ match, at 200, 600, and 800 yards, will te entered upon in the morning. These will occupy practically tlie. whole day.
