Mr. W. Lissant Clayton yesterdayreceived the following advice from the New Alpine'mine: “The battery will start crushing early, this month, start-; ing at about 200 tons weekly, which quartz will he improved as moro faces are opened up. The drive north lias been extended about 50ft, and south about tho samo distance. Nico dabs of gold showing in tho south drive, but there docs not appear to. bo any great extent as yet. S'omo samples' sent down are heavily 'mineralised,, and showing good gold.” WAIHI GRAND JUNCTION. .
