The' jury -disagreed, at the- trial of the aboriginal i Billy, dharged - with the murder of Miss' Duffy, ; and - he was remanded to next- sessions. - The Crown entered a nolle prosequi in the case, against Mrs. .Wilson. " J i [Miss Duffy, a • governess in the family of a runholder/ was .murdered in bad.' Mrs. Wilson, the wife of her employer, was arrested on suspicion. The aboriginal Billy made, several contradictory; statements in relation to the crime, at one time asserting that Mrs.- -Wilson had done • the deed while; he held the victim’s hands, and at another time that he himself was; the murderer.]
