SELF-GIVEN POWER RESCINDED WILL NOT COMPEL UNIONS TO STRIKE. United Press Association, Copyright SYDNEY, March 5. The Labor Gounod, on the motion of the seamen’s delegate, rescinded, by 66 to 49, the extreme powers it gave itself recently by calling upon.all unions to strike whether they wished to do so or not. The Council still reserves the right to check the spread of trouble during industrial unrest.
