A CONVICTION AT WANGANUI. [Press Association.] WANGANUI, March o. The Supreme Court was occupied all day to-day in hearing a case in which Chas. Baker was charged with counselling another to commit a crime. A short time ago two men were caught in an attempt to burgle the Economic. One had in his possession, a letter which contained instructions as to the use of gelignite in blowing up a safe. This letter was written by the accused. A verdict of guilty was returned late to-night, hut an appeal has been lodged. The case is the first of its kind in New Zealand.
