ACQUITTAL OF ALLEGED WHITEBOYS. WIDESPREAD USE OF FIREARMS United Press Association. Copyright . LONDON, March 5. Several persons indicted at Clare Assizes in connection with ‘“Wliiteboy” .actions have been acquitted. Mr Justice Wright commented on the widespread use of firearms. Pie said that almost everybody in the locality ivas armed. The Earl of Crewe, in the House of Lords, stated that the Government was considering tlie best means to check the carrying of firearms.
