GISBORNE CLUB. The Gisborne Lawn Tennis Club lave decided to run their combined oumainent (for which the President. Mr. T. Alston Coleman, has 'kindly donated a two-guinea trophy) on Tues. lay afternoon (to-morrow), that being i special holiday on account of the licensing election. Play commences it 1.30 p.m. sharp. The committee have decided to be very strict as regards absentees, and any pair not ready-when called upon will be struck •>ut. The Following is the draw: Miss b. Coleman and Gover (a bye), Miss ‘Day’and Sheppard meet Mis- Murray and A. W. Murray, Miss B. Black and Ben. Gully meet Miss F. Black and Blackburn. Miss Bright ar.d Margo’ioutli meet Miss McCredie and E. Adair. Barlow and Mrs. Barlow meet Mi;.» Sim son and P. Adair, Miss D. Jones and Dodgshun meet Miss H. Black and W. L. Coleman, Mrs. Traill and A. Simson (a bye) meet Miss Adams and F. Wylds (a bye) in the second round. The match Gisborne Club v. Whataupoko, which was postponed from 27th February, is to take place on the latter club’s courts on Saturday next.
