' The Grand Master of the United Order of Oddfellows, in the course of. his annual address, said: “Let us rid ourselves of.the incuuus of decayed dogmas, of fossilised formulae had their origin'a century ago, such as' grips, pass-words, and signs, coupled with such emblematic -absurdities .as a wooden axe and rusty swords. Educated thought and modern ideas will have none of these.”
