THE PREMIERS’ CONFERENCE. THE FEDERAL PREMIER ON FINANCE. United Press Association. Copyright HOBART, March 10. Mr. Fisher, Premier of the Commonwealth, informed the conference that the Government lias no intention to take full advantage of the Braddon clause, and' wished the conference and the connti'y to get out of their minds that his Government at the end of 1910 intended to seize the whole of the Customs and excise revenue. He desired in a general way to see. the finances of the Commonwealth and States separated and placed on some satisfactory basis. He was not irrevocably committed to the scheme, which compels all work required by the Commonwealth to be constructed out of revenue. At the same time he view with political horror a seventh borrower in Autralia. It would take something to move him to launch out on a borrowing policy until some arrangement Avas come to between the Commomvealth and States.
