CONCLUSION OF A TREATY. BRITAIN ACQUIRES TERRITORY. United Press Association —Copyright. (Received March 12, 9.38 p.m.) LONDON. March 17. A British-Siamese treaty has been signed. It places British subjects under the jurisdiction of Siamese Courts with European advisers. Siam renounces suzerainty, in favor of Britain, oier the- districts of Ivelantan, Ivringarm, and ICedah. Fifteen thousand square ■'V miles are thus placed under -the British flag.
