A choice example of the manner in Avlj|idli disloyalty is fostered in Ireland is given in “ Irish Notes,” which publishes a copy of an anti-British poster recently issued in Enniscorthy. The poster runs: —“Join the Army: Sell your soul, your country and your God for the Saxon shilling. Join England’s iheirling murderers, that pitchcapped and hanged your forefathers in ’9B and that would do the same with you to-morroAV. Your reAvard will be a life of immorality, and a dogs deatn in the gaol or by the roadside. Go to India, to, murder women and cmlclren, and shoot doAvn men avlio are fighting for liberty. Join the Police: Become one of England’s paid spies and murderers;- become a Sullivan or a Sheridan ; one of the creatures in England’s pay who evicted your fathers, and would do the same Avith their OAvn. One of the men avli-o shot young Stenson, and Avoidd shoot you to-morroAV. Soldiers -and peelers are alike; don’t associate Avith them; make it impossible for England to get recruits here and her power is at an end. God Save Ireland and to hell Avith England.”.
