PREPARATION FOR BORING Excellent progress is being made with tile erection of the Gisborne Oil Company's boring plant at Waitangi, near AVhatatutu, under the direction of the manager, Mr. A. D. MacDonald. All the plant available is already on the ground, and the erection of the derrick is; well in hand. It ig hoped to have the plant in working order ; i and to commence boring operations, in about ten days’ time. All the necessary machinery has arrived, with the exception of the tool drills and piping, which are to come to hand by this morning’s steamer. The well site is about four and a half to five miles from AVhatatutu.
