THE NIMROD.

NO ANXIETY FTLT

(Pree3 Association.)

CHRISTCHURCH, Mar. 17

No anxiety -is felt .regarding the nonarrival of the Nimrod from the Antarctic. Captain England, who took the vessel south'on the first trip, being interviewed, states- that it- is impossible to fix -even .an approximate date for her arrival. Even if slie is not here till the end of April there.is no occasion for anxiety. Everything depends entirely upon the- circumstances and movements of the exploring party in the south. It is officially stated that the British Antarctic expedition’s ship Nimrod' is not expected to arrve at Lyttelton from the Antarctic till early next month, The fact that she-has not arrived to date is considered a favorable rather than an unfavorable omen.
