MEETING OF LADIES. At the request of the President of the Y.M.C.A. (Mr F. S. Malcolm) the Mayoress (Mrs TV. D. Lysnar) called a meeting of ladies in Townley’s Hall yestreday afternoon to form a ladies’ auxiliary to the Association. Mr Malcolm said the members desired the ass bianco of the ladies in the various matters, such as the proper care of the boys, and to help with the social, functions, and in various other ways. Mr Webster ■said lie was anxious to see a ladies auxiliiary formed and officers elected, files Lysnar then took the chair and the following officers were elected:—President, the Mayor; 'Vice-President, filesdames Grant! Graham, and Malcolm; Secretary, filiss F. Quigley, fill’ Webster then asked if the ladies would undertake to supply the supper at the proposed Citizens’ reception, and superintend the furnishing of the rooms. The ladies readily agreed to do so, and after the gentlemen withdrew, remained to discuss details.
