A QUARTER-MILE RACE. INVERCARGILL, March 18. An agreement has been drawn up between Trembath and Sanson to- run a race over 4-1-0 yards for £2-5 aside, off scratch, date and place to be agreed on. The sanction of the New Zealand Athletic Association is necessary, but is not expected to be withheld. The stakes are in the hands of the sporting editor of the “Southland Times.”
