Mr W. L. Rees appeared I'or the defendant, and said ,:that aw ‘attempt woul.be made to:show that the moneys were not paid.' Defendant was .'only served with the summons on Thursday night, and lie had not had time ; to prepare a defence. He asked that the /'hse be remanded. . ' Mr J. W. Nolan said that he had no objection' to an adjournment.
