VISIT TO THE EAST COAST
The weather at Tuparoa cleared up on Friday night, and on Saturday and Sunday was beautifully fine. The resi-dents-are delighted, lor the improvement means that the visit ol Lord piunket was not to be. abandoned, as was ' feared. His Excellency is, however, to land a day later than was originally appointed-to-morrow instead of to-dhy. He will be entertained at luncheon at Tuparoa by the Waiami County Council, and at night wih be. the guest of Mr. T. S. Williams, at Kaharau station, instead of going > M’otahiia station, as at first’ arrang--.rl. *. His Excellency’s reception by the Maoris at Waimatatini is to take place on Wednesday instead of to-morrow.
