Though s a large party of volunteers were busy dragging the Nuhaka river all day Saturday and Sunday, no trace of the body of tho late Miss Annie Parker could be found, and it is feared that it will be some days before any indication of the whereabouts of the body is discovered, as the river is running high. In St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church yesterday morning, at 7.30, the Rev. Father Lane said a Mass for the repose of the soul of the deceased young lady. There was a crowded congregation, and Father .Lane in a few well-chosen words extended his sympathy and the ...sympathy of the whole Catholic community to Mr. C. J. Parker and his family in their sad bereavement. At the 10 a.m. Mass, tho Rev. Father Lano also spoke of the sad cocurreior, and requested the orchestra as a mafic of respect to the memory of the late Miss Parker, to play The Dead March in Saul,” the congregation meanwhile standing. The Rev. Father Lane will say Mass for the repose of the soul of the deceased young lady again tilts morning at 7 o’clock.
