VISIT TO TUPAROA

Elaborate: arrangements _ have been made at Tuparoa and Waiomatatini for the reception of His Excellency the Governor, who is expected to land at Tuparoa from the Government steamer Tut-anckai at hi a.m .to-day. Lord Plunket will be accorded an official welcome by the AYaiapu ’County Council, and after the reading of the address, will be entertained at luncheon. The leading Maoris of the district will also welcome His Excellency. Lord Plunket will go to Waiomatatini to-morrow, and thence- to Port Awanui. It. is improbable that he will go to Te Araroa, but will again board the Tutanekai at Port Awanui for Te Kaha. , . - NAPIER, March 22. The Governor arrived by. the mail train this evening, and left at- 8 o’clock in the Government steamer Thtanesai for Tuparoa, on a visit to some of ibe East Coast districts'.
