PRESS v. GISBORNE CLUB

Yesterday afternoon a team representing the local press met a Gisborne Club team on the Ivaiti green, and won by 22 points to 14. The teams were: Press: F. W. Farrell, T. Clarkson, A % J. Benzie, and M. G. Nasmith, junr. (skip); Gisborne Club: W. Pctticj R. W.-Kymc, H. Mackintosh, and X. A_ Crawford (skip). The Gisborne players were in good form, and exhibited Home fine play, hut the press representatives were too strong, and by wonderfully _ - consistent play wore their opponent* • - down in the second half. There were, some remarkably good heads, and the standard of play was much above the average. i per week.
