A MINER’S TRUST.”
Messsr Meynell and Gunn's latest dnynatic venture. ‘*A Miner's Tiust,” wiWt its up-to-date, strongly accentuated characters, and interesting plot, will ho produced for the first time in Gisborne on Wednesday next, at His Majesty's Theatre. It is described as a strong dramatic story of great interest. Sensation, pathos, love-making, and adventure are all strong features of the plav. so that it cannot fail to find the highest favor with the general public. "A Miner’s Trust” has a strong Australian flavor; it deals principally with life on the Australian goldfields. Messrs Meynell and Gunn are well known all over Australia ami New Zealand for the quality of their productions, and this drama is'said to surpass anything that they have ever produced. During the Sydney season, in some of the -scenes the action of the. drama was watched with such breathless silence that the proverbial pm might be heard to drop: other situations arouse electric enthusiasm, ami then again, aye blended, with episodes of uproarious humor. Miss Holloway will be soon in the character; , of Ida Medway, Miss Lilllian Meyers as Alice Medway, Mr. Herbert J. Bonlov as Allan Trengrove, and J. B. Ath--olwood as Gaspard de Bouge. They will be supported by an excellent combination of dramatic artiste. . The. company play a season of four nights, with a now play each night. The box plans will be opened at Mr. Miller’s on Sat-, urelay morning at 10.
