THE MAYORAL ELECTION

(To the Editor.)

Sir,—As a reader of your rag I would like to draw attention to your, article of March 16th, when you remind your readers of the adyisableness of utilising the dual chance that is to be given them shortly, and where.,you state Mr Lysnar lias proved his entire nnsuitableness for the position to which. he was appointed twelve months ago. You state the crudity of his schemes has been evident to anyone who gave them consideration. Now, Sir, can you tell me any of Mr Lyenar’s schemes that have failed ? No, -Air Lyliiar lias always been successful in anything lie undertook, but. when he lias a number of men to work with that have as much say as’himself and cannot see further than their nose and have not brains enough t-o grasp modern ideas, then naturally enough your municipal matters must go back, and back they have gee;.;-; but not through .Mr Lysnar being Chief Executive.. Do you think that- a paper that cannot give a correct report on law- cou.it. matters, or -anything else without a Supreme Court sitting after it, is a fit and proper paper to dictate to the Keynote of Greater Gisborne, who; if he was Editor .of. your paper, would give -ns some, sense to read and not rubbish. Signed— :
