SHEEP-DIPPING. INTERESTING EXPERIMENT BY A WELL-KNOWN OTAGO STATION MANAGER. Only by conducting careful experiments can perfection be attained. Science never stands still. The progressive man aims at the top, and the road thereto lies through carefully-conduct-ed exoerinients. Last autumn Mr. R. K. Smith, the well-known of Morven Hills Station, Otago, conducted a careiul experiment in sheep-dipping, and has handed in his report to Messrs Dalgety and Go. (Ltd), Dunedin. It reads as follows —i.e.: Morven Hills Station, Tarras, N.Z., September 14, 1908. Mecsrs Dalgety and Co. (Ltd), Dunedin. Dear Sirs.—l am in receipt oi yours of Ist inst re Quibeil’s sheep dip, -and am pleased to say the results have been entirely satisfactory. i . ' Besides about 12,000 half-bred and merino hoggets we dipped a good many of the settlers’ flocks, and as Tar as I know, they are all. clean and healthy.
