It is time the business people—who are more affected than-anyone else by the gambling evil, seeing that they have to give credit, while the bookmaker element handles the cash —formed an association to bring pressure to bear upon Parliament to strike out the permissive clauses in the Gaming and Lotteries Act, and to reduce by special legislation the number of totalisator licenses issued in each district. —Stratford “Post:”
