In consequence of a criticism as to -their financial stability, Lloyd’s members submitted to an official audit, as the result of which 98 per cent, have been certified good for all their liabilities. The audit shows that five and ahalf millions sterling have been deposited with the committee by members as /security for contingent liabilities.
